Our class Read the Morning Away! We read lots of books and brought comfy stuff from home. We read for an hour and 30 minutes. We got popcorn, juice and pretzels for a snack. We had to read 7 times in August on our reading calendar. If everyone turned in his or her reading calendar we got Read the Morning Away. It was the best day of the week. The students earned the priviledge of Reading the Morning Away by having 100% participation with reading calendars for the month of November. The students brought in cozy things and books to read. They read for the entire morning and had a yummy snack of popcorn and pretzels. Way to go second graders!
