1) Where is your favorite place to read?
The students earned the priviledge of Reading the Morning Away by having 100% participation with reading calendars for the month of November. The students brought in cozy things and books to read. They read for the entire morning and had a yummy snack of popcorn and pretzels. Way to go second graders!

We made drums by stretching a balloon over the top of a can. The can was a tin can like a soup can without the top and bottom. You could change the sound by doing different things. If you pull the balloon up and let it go it makes a sound. You can make a louder sound by holding the balloon up longer. If you hit it harder it will make a louder sound. If you put your hand on the bottom of the drum it would make a lighter noise. We used our pencils to hit the drum to make a sound. We had fun playing our drums.
