What do you think?
1) Do you have any special things like this at your school?
2) How has your class earned cowboy compliments?
If our class is respectful, responsible and safe our class can earn a cowboy compliment. We have to follow all of the rules and guidelines to earn a compliment. When we earn a compliment we get a cowboy hat. We have 8 cowboy hats on our poster outside the classroom so far. If we get 12 hats we will get to be part of the "luau day." People can also earn caring cowboy tickets. If you get one of those your name gets put in a drawing each day for prizes. We are learning about being Caring Cowboys. Our motto is: I am respectful. I am responsible and, I am safe. On Wednesday, we went around the building and learned about Caring Cowboys. We learned the rules around the school. We get to do a special thing if our class gets 12 cowboy hats. We have to get a compliment from an adult to get a cowboy hat. On Thursday, Mrs. Rugig gave us a compliment when we were walking down the hall being still, silent and straight. Each one of us can earn a Cowboy Cares ticket by showing that we are respectful, responsible and safe.
What do you think? 1) Do you do something like the Caring Cowboys? 2) What way do you think we can earn a compliment for a cowboy hat? Dear Second Grade Students and Parents, The floors are waxed. The books are on the shelves. The desks are clean and empty. What's missing? The students are missing of course! If you are going to be in Mrs. Lance's class please come check out your new classroom on Tuesday, August 19th from 8:00-8:30.
