The book Radio Rescue is about a little boy that invented radio communication when telephones don’t work. The first radios used morse code which is sort of like morse light. My favorite part is when the boy did the same series of dits as the sailors then his code. I recommend this for those of you who like history.

This book is about destroyers. Destroyers are fast war ships. They can go 35 knots. This book tells you about different weapons that destroyers have. Some of them are a depth charge, a guided missile, torpedoes, and ant aircraft guns. My favorite part is rebuilding destroyers. It is about rebuilding World War II destroyers. I like this part because it has a picture of a rebuilt World War ll destroyer with tracks of where it has been. This book is probably for someone who likes war. This is a hard book. It is good for 8 year old to 15 year olds. The book is The Jet Alphabet Book. It is about all kinds of planes. It tells you all about all of the jet’s names in ABC order. It also tells you all about the planes. The book tells you how fast some of them are. Read the book and find out! I really like this book because…I like the planes and there are 26 planes in this book and there are 26 letters in the alphabet. I also like military planes, but most of all my favorite planes are the really big military planes like the E-3, B-17, KC-10 and the “Hercules Flying Boat”. I would recommend this book to 7 or 8 year olds because there are some hard words in it. The person who is reading this book should like jets. I just read Magic Tree House Dinosaurs Before Dark. The book is about two characters named Jack and Annie. They find a tree house filled with books. The books were magical. Read more to find out what happens. My favorite part was when Jack was riding a dinosaur when a T-Rex was chasing. Jack was riding to the tree house to go home. I recommend this book for first graders and second graders. This Tuesday my class had gym and I got to pick out the game. I picked dodge ball because dodge ball is fun, but when you get out you have to do ten jumping jacks. The second time you have to do ten push ups. The third time you're out. It's fun!
1) Have you played it? 2) Have you ever gotten out? 3) Do you think it's fun? Today we saw a puppet show at Hilltop School. We only got to see two stories. There were only two actors that played all of the parts. The first story was called The Girl and the North Wind. There was a girl, and she needed some flour so that her family could bake bread. The North Wind blew it away and she had to go find the magic cloth. The girl didn't have enough time to go home, so she stayed at an inn. The innkeeper didn't want her there because she didn't have any money. The girl made a feast, and the innkeeper stole a cloth. She replaced it with a rag. The North Wind came back to the girl and told her to find the magic stick. The innkeeper gave the girl everything back to her, and she ended up going home. She never ended up having to going to the store or being hungry again.
The second story was Aladdin. The actors picked a student to be Aladdin. The student was like a real actor. The story was just like other stories of Aladdin. There was a princess and she pretended to fall in love with the student. We really liked the puppet show. What do you think? 1) Have you ever been to a puppet show? What was it? 2) What do you like about puppet shows? 3) What would your puppet show be like if you had one? |
