1) How does using schema help you?
2) Have you ever read the book Fireflies? What connections do you have with that book?
3) How many connections have you had with the book?
We were learning about schema. It is about helping readers understand what they read by making connections with the book. These connections help us understand what is happening and how the character is feeling. We read the book Fireflies and made connections on the netbooks. These post-it notes showed up as we typed them. 1) How does using schema help you? 2) Have you ever read the book Fireflies? What connections do you have with that book? 3) How many connections have you had with the book?
